A Proposal to Establish Minimum Standards for Seat Pitch and Seat Width
Most passengers agree - seats are too small, planes are too crowded, and there is not enough legroom for most passengers.
Right now, the FAA has no standards for how big - or how small - seats can be, or how closely they can be spaced. They leave it up to the airlines.
The government will set standards for seat width and seat pitch if enough people ask them to do so.
We have submitted a formal Petition for Rule-making to set standards for seat width and seat pitch.
Click on the link below and let the FAA know you want them to set reasonable standards for legroom and passenger seat size.
A Proposal to Establish Minimum Standards for Seat Pitch and Seat Width
If enough people respond, the FAA will begin formal rule-making procedures to make wider seats and more leg-room a reality!
